Caribbean Stud
Caribbean Stud Poker is a casino table game that is based upon 5 card stud poker. The main difference is that Caribbean stud poker is played against the house rather than other players. It is played with a standard deck of 52 cards and you can place a jackpot bet before the begging of each hand.
Before playing, you select the stakes you wish to play and the amount you wish to buy in for.
Play starts with the placing of an ante (initial bet), then you hit the deal button. Cards are then dealt - 5 to the player and one face up to the dealer. It is now that a player must choose to bet or fold their hand. The dealer only qualifies if they are holding A/K or something better. After making your choice, to either bet or fold, the dealers cards are then dealt revealing if you have won or not. To win the hand you must have the best hand, and the dealers hand must also qualify. If they fail to qualify you are paid 1 to 1 on the ante and any bet is returned to the player.
If you have a jackpot hand and make a bet you will win your portion of the jackpot regardless of if your hand beats the dealers hand however if you fold you forfeit your chance at the jackpot.
If both players have the same hand eg KK, the next highest card is used to determine a winner. If both hands are identical, then the hand is called a push and the bet and ante are returned to the player.
