H.O.R.S.E.
Horse is a mixed game that makes use of several different poker game types. Games played a represented in the Letters of Horse.
The letters for these mixed games are made up from the following :
H: Texas Hold 'em
O: Omaha Eights or better
A: Omaha Hi
R: Razz
S: Seven card Stud
E: Seven card stud Eight or better
There are a number of common variants of H.O.R.S.E including H.O.S.E, and S.H.O.E, but here at PDCPoker.com we try and offer some of the more uncommon variants as well such as R.A.S.H and H.A.R, H.A and H.O.
The game plays out in order according to the letters of the name. In tournament play, the game type changes every time the blinds are increased; where as in ring games it changes every eight hands. The only exception to this is in H.A and H.O cash games where changeover interval is every 10 hands.
